Problems with the Weight in the University

When the people enter the university they often collide with the problem of weight penalty. According to the statistics, the student of the first year gain about 0.6 pound per week. Concerning this information there are two important questions: why the students gain the weight so quickly and how this problem can be avoided.  

 

There are three main reasons of the problem of weight penalty among the students. First of all, the students increase the amount of consumable calories. When the university life begins, the students become involved into many activities and social events and these events are usually connected with the food. In cause the problem of overeating. Besides, in the university the students receive the habit to eat the fast – food. Usually it is cheaper, but also has more calories. Moreover, the students get accustomed to have the snacks.  

 

The second problem refers to the decrease in activity. After entering the university many students give up with the regular sport activities and devote their time to the studying or to the parties.

 

And finally, the third problem is related with so – called metabolism killers. The students usually do not pay attention on the balanced feeding and managing of their diet. The students often do not eat during the day and in the evening have large portions of food instead of proportioned meals during the day. So there are two metabolism killers – the late supper and absence of breakfast.

 

But the problems with the weight penalty can be avoided. First of all, it is necessary remove the reasons of the problems listed above. Besides, there are some other steps which are described below. The students have to have the aim to avoid the problems with the weight and be aware of the changes in the current lifestyle. The changes must be only in the positive direction.

The following advice is to practice the nutritious diet. It means that the student have to form the balanced diet and develop the healthy eating habits. The balanced diet implies to eat many fresh vegetables and fruits and avoid fast – food.  

 

And finally, the sport activities play the great role in the fight with the weight penalty. So it is important to go in for sport several times per week.
